كما أشارت تقارير متداولة إلى ارتباط اسم بوكاهانتس أيضاً بتحقيقات في قضية شبهة اتجار بالبشر، قيل إنها شملت والدتها وعدداً من الأشخاص، فيما لم تقدم المعلومات الواردة تفاصيل إضافية عن مسار هذه التحقيقات أو نتائجها. ونشرت حسابات إخبارية على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي أن الإبعاد جاء بعد فترة من توقيف نورهان، التي كانت تقيم في الكويت وتمتلك صالون تجميل يحمل اسم “بوكاهانتس”.
