The sports expert and analyst Bandar Al-Jaithen confirmed to “Okaz” that the upcoming matches resulting from the draw for the Saudi Super Cup, which will see Al-Qadisiyah face Al-Ahli and Al-Khulood take on Al-Nasr, will be extremely challenging and will not be subject to any prior predictions.
Al-Jaithen explained in his remarks that the match between Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Ahli represents a football summit that brings together two major teams with high capabilities and distinguished players, in addition to the high technical and physical readiness that both sides possess, which makes the encounter open to all possibilities.
Regarding the match between Al-Khulood and Al-Nasr, Captain Bandar pointed out that Al-Khulood has shown remarkable performances this season given the resources available to their coach. However, he emphasized that Al-Nasr remains a constant contender in various tournaments due to the experience of its players, their technical readiness to appear in major events, along with the wide fan support backing them.
Al-Jaithen added: “The match requires precise calculations from Al-Khulood’s coach to address the technical differences, especially considering Al-Nasr’s individual solutions and the high experience of its players, in contrast to Al-Khulood’s reliance on collective play and high spirit without despair.”
Captain Bandar Al-Jaithen concluded his statement by discussing the nature of knockout rounds, confirming that these matches are entirely different from league matches, where normal technical standards are disregarded and the focus is solely on the result in order to secure a ticket to the final match, which will then have entirely different calculations and circumstances.
