U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Biesen today (Tuesday) revealed that oil loading operations at the Iranian facility on Khark Island have been halted since August, confirming that there are currently no Iranian oil shipments at sea.

Biesen stated that the Iranian oil sector is facing difficult conditions, likening its situation to a company heading towards bankruptcy, in reference to the challenges facing Iranian crude exports amid imposed restrictions.

He added that Washington is aware of all entities providing services to the Iranian regime, noting that these activities have experienced a sudden halt, without providing further details regarding the nature of those entities or the reasons for the halt.

These statements come at a time when the United States continues to tighten its pressure on the Iranian oil sector, amid anticipation of how these developments will affect Tehran’s ability to export crude, and their potential implications for energy supplies and global market movements.
