The Yemeni Prime Minister, Sha’if Al-Zandani, has directed ministers and officials of government institutions and agencies to prepare the conditions for the return to areas reclaimed by government forces. He emphasized in a statement today (Monday) the need to take the necessary financial and administrative arrangements to restore the regular payment of state employees’ salaries.
Saudi Arabia… the steadfast support for Yemen and its leadership
The Prime Minister praised the historic position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, and the Saudi government and people, affirming that the Kingdom has been and remains a steadfast support for Yemen and its legitimate leadership, and a genuine partner in protecting its security and stability and supporting its institutions during the most difficult stages.
Al-Zandani appreciated Saudi Arabia’s ongoing political, military, security, economic, and humanitarian support, confirming that these positions will remain present in the Yemeni national memory, embodying the depth of brotherhood and the shared destiny between the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
A new responsibility for state institutions
Al-Zandani confirmed that the field progress made by the armed forces, military formations, and popular resistance on several fronts, accompanied by the announcement of the transition to the liberation phase, opens up a new responsibility for state institutions, which is to keep pace with this progress through organized and rapid government action, transforming every field achievement into an actual presence of the state, security, stability, services, and a normal life for citizens.
He stated that the government will work in parallel with military operations to prepare state institutions for the return to areas reclaimed by government forces, ensuring that there is no administrative or service vacuum. He pointed out the necessary arrangements to restore the work of civil, security, and service agencies, protect public and private properties, secure citizens’ needs, and create suitable conditions for the return of displaced persons and the resumption of economic activity.
Payment of state employees’ salaries and addressing entitlements
The Prime Minister called on ministries and government agencies to prepare urgent executive plans linked to field developments, including basic services, health, education, electricity and water, roads, communications, relief, and social protection. He referred to the necessary financial and administrative arrangements to restore the regular payment of state employees’ salaries and address overdue entitlements, as well as recovery and reconstruction programs in the reclaimed areas.
