مفاجأة في مطار مسقط.. ضبط أفاعٍ نادرة بحوزة مسافر – أخبار السعودية
تمكنت الجهات المختصة في سلطنة عُمان من إحباط محاولة تهريب عدد من أفاعي «الأصلة الملكية» (Royal Pythons)، بعد ضبطها بحوزة أحد المسافرين في مطار مسقط الدولي، ضمن جهود السلطنة الرامية إلى مكافحة الاتجار غير المشروع بالحياة البرية وحماية التنوع البيولوجي.
وأفادت هيئة البيئة العُمانية، وفقًا لما أوردته الصحف المحلية، بأن عملية الضبط نُفذت بالتنسيق مع شرطة عُمان السلطانية والإدارة العامة للجمارك، مؤكدةً اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة بحق المسافر لمخالفته التشريعات المنظمة للتجارة في الحيوانات والنباتات الفطرية.
وشددت السلطات العُمانية على مواصلة جهودها الرقابية في مختلف المنافذ الحدودية والجوية، لمنع تهريب الأنواع النادرة والمهددة بالانقراض. كما أكدت أن استيراد هذه الكائنات أو نقلها يخضع لاشتراطات وتراخيص رسمية، بما يتوافق مع القوانين الوطنية والاتفاقيات الدولية المعنية بحماية الحياة الفطرية وصون التنوع البيولوجي.
The relevant authorities in the Sultanate of Oman have thwarted an attempt to smuggle a number of “Royal Pythons,” after they were seized from a traveler at Muscat International Airport, as part of the Sultanate’s efforts to combat illegal wildlife trade and protect biodiversity.
The Omani Environment Authority reported, according to local newspapers, that the seizure operation was carried out in coordination with the Royal Oman Police and the General Directorate of Customs, confirming that legal actions have been taken against the traveler for violating regulations governing the trade in wild animals and plants.
The Omani authorities emphasized their commitment to continuing their monitoring efforts at various border and air entry points to prevent the smuggling of rare and endangered species. They also confirmed that the import or transfer of these organisms is subject to official requirements and permits, in accordance with national laws and international agreements concerned with wildlife protection and biodiversity conservation.
