«فورين أفيرز»: هدنة غزة على المحك.. واشنطن أمام اختبار حاسم – أخبار السعودية
بعد عام من وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، تكشف الأزمة أن الهدنة لم تضع حداً للحرب الإسرائيلية بقدر ما فاقمت حالة الدمار، وأبقت أكثر من مليوني فلسطيني رهائن للحرمان والعنف.
مكان يستحيل العيش فيه
ورأت مجلة «فورين أفيرز» أنه بين تعطيل إعمار القطاع واستمرار الهجمات وتوسيع السيطرة الإسرائيلية، يلوح خطر تحويل القطاع إلى مكان يستحيل العيش فيه، بما يمهد للتهجير ويقوض فرص التسوية السياسية. وحسب الباحث المتخصص في الشؤون الأمريكية الفلسطينية خالد الجندي، فإن تعثر خطة السلام الأمريكية يهدد بضياع غزة نهائياً، في ظل استمرار الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية، وتسامح واشنطن مع حكومة بنيامين نتنياهو.
ولفت إلى أنه بعد اتفاق وقف النار في أكتوبر 2025، لم تنفذ معظم الالتزامات المتعلقة بالمساعدات والخدمات الأساسية، ولم تبدأ إعادة بناء المنازل والمستشفيات وشبكات المياه والكهرباء، رغم تعهد المبعوث الأمريكي جاريد كوشنر ببدء إصلاح البنية التحتية خلال مئة يوم. وأكد أن معظم سكان القطاع يعيشون في خيام مكتظة تفتقر إلى المياه النظيفة والرعاية الصحية والصرف الصحي، وسط نقص الغذاء والدواء وانتشار الأمراض. كما تواصل إسرائيل هجماتها التي أودت بحياة أكثر من 1400 فلسطيني منذ إعلان الهدنة، بينما توسعت سيطرتها العسكرية لتشمل قرابة 65% من أراضي غزة.
موجة جديدة من العنف
وأشار الباحث إلى أن هذه الأوضاع ليست مجرد إخفاق إنساني، بل تنذر بتفجير موجة جديدة من العنف، وتخدم هدفاً إسرائيلياً أوسع يتمثل في جعل القطاع غير صالح للحياة ودفع سكانه إلى الرحيل. ويعتقد الجندي أن واشنطن تتبنى علناً مواقف إسرائيلية، بينما تقدم تطمينات متناقضة للأطراف الأخرى، الأمر الذي يمنح الطرف الأقوى قدرة على فرض شروطه. فبعدما وافقت حماس على صيغة لنزع السلاح، رفضت الحكومة الإسرائيلية خريطة الطريق التي أُعلنت في يوليو الماضي.
واعتبر أن نتنياهو يستفيد من استمرار الوضع الحالي دون إثارة غضب دولي واسع، كما يستخدم مطلب نزع السلاح الكامل لتبرير استمرار السيطرة العسكرية وإرضاء شركائه اليمينيين المتطرفين.
عودة الحرب الشاملة
وحذر الجندي من أن استمرار الوضع الراهن قد يؤدي إلى تهجير مزيد من الفلسطينيين أو عودة الحرب الشاملة، بما يفاقم اضطراب المنطقة ويضر بمكانة الولايات المتحدة الدولية. كما أن الاحتلال الطويل لن يحقق بالضرورة مكاسب أمنية لإسرائيل، بل سيعمق عزلتها ويبدد فرص التطبيع الإقليمي.
وحسب الجندي فإنه خطة ترمب يمكن إنقاذها إذا ضغطت واشنطن والوسطاء لتنفيذ الالتزامات بالتوازي، وفرضوا عواقب على المخالفين، وسمحوا بدخول الإدارة والشرطة الفلسطينية، وضمان تدفق المساعدات وإعادة الخدمات والإعمار دون شروط سياسية. وأكد أن مستقبل غزة يتوقف على استعداد واشنطن لمواجهة حكومة نتنياهو بدلاً من منحها الوقت لمواصلة التدمير. فإما أن تتحول السنوات القادمة إلى مرحلة للتعافي وإعادة البناء، أو يستمر العنف والتهجير وعدم الاستقرار لأجيال.«} متى ما كان هناك سبيل لكشف الحقائق ومعرفة الخفايا، فإن الصحافة تظل دائماً حاضرة لتوثيق الأحداث وتقديمها للقارئ بصورة موضوعية وواقعية. في عالم اليوم، تبقى الأخبار وسيلة لإحداث التغيير، ودور الإعلام يتعاظم يوماً بعد يوم في تشكيل الوعي العام والتأثير في القرارات السياسية والاقتصادية. إننا في عصر المعلومات، حيث الكلمة هي الأداة الأقوى لتحريك الشعوب وصناعة المستقبل. فلتكن الكلمة دوماً مصدر إلهام وإشعاع للحقائق.»}
After a year of ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the crisis reveals that the truce has not put an end to the Israeli war as much as it has exacerbated the state of destruction, leaving more than two million Palestinians hostages to deprivation and violence.
A place impossible to live in
The magazine “Foreign Affairs” noted that between the disruption of reconstruction in the strip, the continuation of attacks, and the expansion of Israeli control, there looms the danger of turning the strip into a place impossible to live in, paving the way for displacement and undermining chances for a political settlement. According to researcher Khaled Al-Jundi, a specialist in Palestinian-American affairs, the stagnation of the American peace plan threatens to permanently lose Gaza, amid ongoing Israeli violations and Washington’s tolerance of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
He pointed out that after the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, most commitments related to aid and basic services were not implemented, and the rebuilding of homes, hospitals, and water and electricity networks did not begin, despite American envoy Jared Kushner’s promise to start infrastructure repairs within a hundred days. He confirmed that most residents of the strip live in overcrowded tents lacking clean water, healthcare, and sanitation, amid food and medicine shortages and the spread of diseases. Israel continues its attacks, which have claimed the lives of more than 1,400 Palestinians since the announcement of the truce, while its military control has expanded to include nearly 65% of Gaza’s territory.
A new wave of violence
The researcher pointed out that these conditions are not merely a humanitarian failure, but they herald the explosion of a new wave of violence, serving a broader Israeli goal of making the strip unlivable and pushing its inhabitants to leave. Al-Jundi believes that Washington is publicly adopting Israeli positions while offering contradictory reassurances to other parties, which gives the stronger party the ability to impose its terms. After Hamas agreed to a disarmament formula, the Israeli government rejected the roadmap announced last July.
He considered that Netanyahu benefits from the continuation of the current situation without provoking widespread international outrage, and he uses the demand for complete disarmament to justify the continuation of military control and to appease his far-right partners.
The return of total war
Al-Jundi warned that the continuation of the current situation could lead to the displacement of more Palestinians or the return of total war, exacerbating regional turmoil and harming the international standing of the United States. He also stated that prolonged occupation will not necessarily achieve security gains for Israel, but will deepen its isolation and dissipate opportunities for regional normalization.
According to Al-Jundi, Trump’s plan can be salvaged if Washington and mediators pressure for the implementation of commitments in parallel, impose consequences on violators, allow the entry of Palestinian administration and police, and ensure the flow of aid and the restoration of services and reconstruction without political conditions. He emphasized that Gaza’s future depends on Washington’s willingness to confront Netanyahu’s government instead of giving it time to continue the destruction.
