In a step that enhances spending efficiency and optimal utilization of government assets, the General Presidency for Scientific Research and Ifta has completed the relocation of its branches in five regions to government headquarters within four months, in coordination with the General Authority for State Properties; this has contributed to the cancellation of five annual lease contracts that were borne by the presidency.

The Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Committee for Ifta, the General Supervisor of the Office of the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, and the General Supervisor of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the presidency, Sheikh Dr. Fahd bin Saad Al-Majid, explained that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership aimed at enhancing spending efficiency and maximizing the benefit from government assets, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

He confirmed that the transition to the new headquarters was carried out without affecting the workflow or the services provided to beneficiaries, thanks to the cooperation with the General Authority for State Properties, noting that the cancellation of lease contracts achieves sustainable financial savings that can be directed to support the scientific and legal programs implemented by the presidency.

He indicated that the new headquarters provide a more suitable and efficient work environment for the branches, affirming the presidency’s continued review of its assets and operational expenses and its search for more opportunities to enhance efficiency and achieve the best benefit from public funds, appreciating the efforts of the teams that contributed to the successful completion of the relocation process according to the planned timeline.
