New television footage revealed additional details regarding the actions of Nasser Mansi, the Egyptian Zamalek striker, after he scored the winning goal against the Rwandan army team on Friday, in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the African Champions League.

The footage, broadcast by the channel “MBC Masr 2,” which aired the match, showed Mansi throwing the Zamalek jersey on the ground before spitting in the direction of the bench and the coaching staff, amid attempts by his teammates to calm him down.

The incident sparked controversy among Zamalek fans on social media, especially since the action came after the player scored the winning goal in the 90th minute, giving his team a 1-0 victory in the match held at the Amahoro Stadium in Rwanda.

In light of the incident, Abdel Nasser Mohamed, the football director at Zamalek, decided to impose a hefty financial fine on the player, without disclosing its amount, according to the club’s media center.

Mansi apologized to the coaching staff led by Moataz Gamal, the football director, and his fellow players during dinner after the match, and he accepted the penalty imposed on him after being informed of its amount.

In a video clip published by the club after the match, the striker congratulated Zamalek fans on the victory, explaining that he had faced pressures in the past period, and affirming that he did not intend to offend anyone after scoring the goal. He also expressed his acceptance of any decision made by the football management, stating his eagerness to make the fans happy in the upcoming period.
