حصلت أكاديمية مهد الرياضية على رخصة المشاركة في دوري الدرجة الأولى الإقليمي بمقاطعة مدريد، تحت مظلة الاتحاد الملكي لكرة القدم في مدريد، التابع للاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم، عبر فريق «مار أبييرتو»، الذي يضم 24 لاعبًا سعوديًا من مواليد عام 2012، خلال الموسم الرياضي 2026–2027.
وتتيح المشاركة للاعبين خوض منافسات رسمية أمام أندية إسبانية، بما يوفر لهم فرصة اكتساب الخبرة من خلال المباريات المنتظمة، والتعامل مع أنماط لعب ومدارس كروية مختلفة، في مرحلة عمرية مهمة لتطوير المهارات الفنية والبدنية.
وتأتي المشاركة ضمن مسار لإتاحة المنافسة الخارجية أمام اللاعبين السعوديين في الفئات السنية، بما يساعد على تقييم مستوياتهم في بيئة تنافسية مختلفة، وقياس مدى تقدمهم من خلال الأداء في المباريات الرسمية، إلى جانب ما يكتسبونه من خبرات تسهم في إعدادهم للمراحل القادمة.
The Mahd Sports Academy has obtained a license to participate in the Regional First Division League in the Madrid region, under the umbrella of the Royal Football Federation of Madrid, which is affiliated with the Spanish Football Federation, through the “Mar Abierto” team, which includes 24 Saudi players born in 2012, during the 2026–2027 sports season.
This participation allows players to compete officially against Spanish clubs, providing them with the opportunity to gain experience through regular matches and to deal with different playing styles and football schools, at an important age stage for developing technical and physical skills.
This participation is part of a pathway to provide external competition for Saudi players in age categories, helping to assess their levels in a different competitive environment and measure their progress through performance in official matches, alongside the experiences they gain that contribute to preparing them for the upcoming stages.
