«ورقة نقدية ممزقة» تنهي حياة عامل توصيل في الهند – أخبار السعودية
تحوّل خلاف على ورقة نقدية ممزقة إلى قضية جنائية في العاصمة الهندية نيودلهي، بعدما توفي عامل توصيل يبلغ 24 عامًا، إثر اعتداء تعرّض له قبل نحو أسبوعين، في واقعة دفعت الشرطة إلى توسيع التحقيق وتوجيه اتهامات إضافية للمشتبه بهما.
وتعود الحادثة إلى مساء 4 أكتوبر، حين رفض الشاب تسلّم ورقة نقدية ممزقة من رجلين في منطقة شرق فينود ناجار، ما أشعل مشادة انتهت بالاعتداء عليه جسديًا.
وعقب الواقعة، سجّل الشاب مقطع فيديو وثّق فيه ما تعرّض له، قبل أن تتلقى الشرطة بلاغًا عن تناوله مادة سامة، فنُقل إلى مستشفى لال بهادور شاستري لتلقي العلاج. وبعد نحو أسبوعين، أُعلنت وفاته في 20 أكتوبر، متأثرًا بحالته الصحية.
وأوقفت الشرطة المشتبه بهما، راكيش، المعروف بلقب «بونتي»، ويبلغ 30 عامًا، ورامبال سينغ، البالغ 65 عامًا، وكلاهما من سكان المنطقة ذاتها.
وعقب وفاة الشاب، أضافت السلطات المادة 108 من قانون العقوبات الهندي الجديد، المتعلقة بالتحريض على الانتحار، إلى القضية، فيما تتواصل الإجراءات القانونية بحق الموقوفين.
A dispute over a torn banknote turned into a criminal case in the Indian capital, New Delhi, after a 24-year-old delivery worker died following an assault he suffered about two weeks ago, an incident that prompted the police to expand the investigation and file additional charges against the suspects.
The incident dates back to the evening of October 4, when the young man refused to accept a torn banknote from two men in the East Vinod Nagar area, which sparked a confrontation that ended with him being physically assaulted.
Following the incident, the young man recorded a video documenting what he had endured, before the police received a report about him ingesting a toxic substance, and he was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital for treatment. After about two weeks, he was pronounced dead on October 20, due to his health condition.
The police arrested the two suspects, Rakesh, known by the nickname “Punti,” who is 30 years old, and Rambal Singh, who is 65, both residents of the same area.
After the young man’s death, the authorities added Section 108 of the new Indian Penal Code, concerning incitement to suicide, to the case, while legal proceedings against the detained individuals continue.
