أكدت حقها في الدفاع عن أمنها.. السعودية ترحب بإدانة مجلس الأمن لهجمات الحوثي – أخبار السعودية
أعربت وزارة الخارجية عن ترحيب المملكة العربية السعودية بالبيان الرئاسي الصادر عن أعضاء مجلس الأمن بشأن الهجمات ضد المملكة، وما تضمنه من إدانة للهجمات المتواصلة والتصعيدية التي تشنها ميليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية ضد المملكة، بما فيها الهجمات التي طالت الأعيان المدنية والمطارات والبنية التحتية للطاقة، والتهديدات المتواصلة للملاحة في البحر الأحمر وباب المندب.
وقالت الوزارة في بيان: «المملكة تؤكد على أهمية مضامين البيان، بما فيها التشديد على أهمية التنفيذ الكامل لقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2216 (2015) والقرارات اللاحقة، والدعوة إلى التعاون العملي لمنع جماعة الحوثي الإرهابية من الحصول على الأسلحة وغيرها من أشكال الدعم».
وأضافت: «المملكة تثمن تضامن أعضاء مجلس الأمن معها في مواجهة الهجمات التي تطال المدنيين والأعيان المدنية على أراضيها، وتشدد على حقها الأصيل الذي يكفله القانون الدولي في اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات للدفاع عن أمنها وحماية مواطنيها والمقيمين فيها».
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s welcome to the presidential statement issued by the members of the Security Council regarding the attacks against the Kingdom, which included condemnation of the ongoing and escalating attacks launched by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Kingdom, including attacks targeting civilian objects, airports, energy infrastructure, and the ongoing threats to navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.
The ministry stated in a statement: “The Kingdom emphasizes the importance of the contents of the statement, including the emphasis on the necessity of full implementation of Security Council Resolution No. 2216 (2015) and subsequent resolutions, and the call for practical cooperation to prevent the Houthi terrorist group from obtaining weapons and other forms of support.”
It added: “The Kingdom appreciates the solidarity of the members of the Security Council with it in facing the attacks that target civilians and civilian objects on its territory, and emphasizes its inherent right, guaranteed by international law, to take all measures to defend its security and protect its citizens and residents.”
