نائب أمير نجران يطلق فعاليات موسم التشجير الوطني 2026 لتعزيز الاستدامة البيئية وتنمية الغطاء النباتي – أخبار السعودية
دشّن نائب أمير منطقة نجران الأمير تركي بن هذلول بن عبدالعزيز بمكتبه اليوم، فعاليات موسم التشجير الوطني 2026، في نسخته الثالثة تحت شعار “جيل يغرس لوطن يزدهر”، بحضور مدير عام فرع وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة بالمنطقة المهندس مريح الشهراني، ومدير عام فرع المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر بنجران مهند اليامي.
وأوضح مدير المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي بالمنطقة، أن موسم التشجير الوطني في نسخته الثالثة يأتي ضمن جهود البرنامج الوطني للتشجير لتحقيق مستهدفات مبادرة “السعودية الخضراء”؛ لتنمية الغطاء النباتي، وتعزيز الاستدامة البيئية، إضافة إلى تشجيع مشاركة المجتمع في مبادرات التشجير، والمحافظة على البيئة، وتعزيز مشاريع التشجير في المنطقة، وضمان استمرار المنجزات التي تحققت، حيث بلغ عدد الأشجار التي تمت زراعتها في منطقة نجران منذ عام 2021 حتى العام الحالي أكثر من 6.7 ملايين شجرة، وذلك ضمن مستهدف عام 2030، الذي يبلغ نحو 7.8 ملايين شجرة بنسبة إنجاز بلغت 85.9%.
وأشار اليامي إلى أن البرنامج الوطني للتشجير أطلق الهوية الرسمية لموسم التشجير الوطني 2026، التي تحمل مضامين وقيم سامية تُعلِي من مكانة وأهمية البيئة في حياتنا، وتعزز ثقافة التشجير وسط المجتمع بمختلف فئاته، لتؤكد أن التشجير ليس مجرد حملة بيئية مؤقتة؛ بل التزام وطني مستدام، يعكس وعي المجتمع ومسؤوليته تجاه الأجيال الحالية والقادمة، وضمان تحسين جودة حياتها.
The Deputy Emir of Najran Region, Prince Turki bin Hithal bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated today the activities of the National Tree Planting Season 2026, in its third edition under the slogan “A Generation Plants for a Thriving Nation,” in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture branch in the region, Engineer Muraiah Al-Shahrani, and the Director General of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification in Najran, Muhannad Al-Yami.
The Director of the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development in the region explained that the third edition of the National Tree Planting Season comes as part of the efforts of the National Tree Planting Program to achieve the targets of the “Saudi Green” initiative; to develop vegetation cover, enhance environmental sustainability, encourage community participation in tree planting initiatives, preserve the environment, enhance tree planting projects in the region, and ensure the continuation of the achievements made. The number of trees planted in Najran Region since 2021 until the current year has exceeded 6.7 million trees, as part of the 2030 target, which is about 7.8 million trees, with a completion rate of 85.9%.
Al-Yami pointed out that the National Tree Planting Program has launched the official identity for the National Tree Planting Season 2026, which carries noble meanings and values that elevate the status and importance of the environment in our lives, and enhance the culture of tree planting among the community across various segments, confirming that tree planting is not just a temporary environmental campaign; rather, it is a sustainable national commitment that reflects the community’s awareness and responsibility towards current and future generations, ensuring the improvement of their quality of life.
